circa 1850, with 4in. long brass-mounted ebony body, small sliding concealed penknife blade to one end signed 'RODGERS' with a star and cross trademark, the hinged quill-cutter mounted at the opposite end and signed 'RODGERS, CUTLERS TO HER MAJESTY, SHEFFIELD ENGLAND', complete with its rectangular embossed leatherette covered paste-board storage box
