A CASED 12-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN SIGNED PERCY, no visible serial number,
circa 1835, possibly converted from flintlock, with 30in. twist iron barrels (rubbed, dents, rib lifting and one muzzle deformed), pair of twin platinum lines at breech, engraved plugs, border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'PERCY', walnut chequered half-stock (inlet repair behind both locks, tang repaired, fore-end cracked and repaired), iron furniture and period ramrod; COMPLETE WITH a wood storage case, relined and compartmented in green baize and containing a powder and a shot flask along with a modern cleaning rod, the inside of lid with re-attached original trade label for 'MATTHEW PERCY' of Malton
