AN 18-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, French, possibly converted from flintlock circa 1830, with 34 1/2in. twist sighted barrels, foliate engraved breeches, tang and locks, figured walnut half-stock carved with boar's head in relief behind the grip, chequered grip and fore-end, raised cheek-piece, engraved iron mounts, sling mounts, later ramrod (some discolouration and light pitting throughout).
