circa 1850, with expertly re-browned octagonal 27 1/2in. barrel, bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, colour-hardened scroll engraved breech-block, borderline and scroll engraved colour-hardened bar-action lock, scroll engraved hammer, french-polished chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture (traces of blued finish) including spurred trigger-guard tang, white-metal fore-end cap and replacement iron ramrod
