circa 1765, with 38 3/4in. iron barrel swelling at the breech, applied silver fore-sight bead on a tear-drop surround, traces of a steeple with tear-drop terminus engraved to the breech end, the central section engraved '10', hooked breech with engraved top-tang and sighting notch, plain borderline engraved stepped tail bevel-edged lockplate with traces of signature forwards of the hammer, lined touch-hole, top-jaw absent from hammer, walnut banana handrail full-stock with a plain apron carved around the top-tang, spliced fore-end, brass border engraved oval escutcheon to wrist, brass heel-plate, trigger-guard and sideplate, turned brass thimbles and period iron ramrod
