circa 1900, with round, tapering 26in. barrel with octagonal breech section, the top of barrel signed 'WILLIAM EVANS, 63 PALL MALL ST JAMES'S, LONDON', ramp and dove-tail beaded blade fore-sight, bolstered rear-sight with one standing and two folding notched leaves, plain colour hardened slab-sided action with external central hammer, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock with ribbed end and colour hardened plain iron pistol grip cap, chequered walnut snap-on splinter fore-end, retaining much original colour and thinning blued finish
