A SCARCE .177 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, MODEL ''A' SERIES LIGHT PATTERN', serial no. A3173,
for 1938, with 17in. barrel, dove-tailed front and rear-sights, plain air-chamber (no visible etching), walnut saw-handled semi pistol-gripped butt-stock with pressed chequering incorporating the BSA trademark and ribbed end to butt, trigger-guard with adjustment screw and push-button under-lever, traces of finish
Other Notes: Only 3939 of these rifles were produced between 1936 and the outbreak of World War Two.
