possibly 18th century and almost certainly Fijian, of lignum vitae with carved bulbous head surmounted by a small carved rounded stud, carved tear-drop shaped protrusions round the circumference, slightly swamped integral shaft changing from hexagonal at the head to round, some old losses at heel, 40in. overall with good patina
