A 17TH CENTURY MORION,
most probably Spanish or Italian and formed from one piece, the hollow comb with rope-twist decoration (some dents and minor perforations), the lower edge of the bowl with a line of rivets (some replaced), the brim with rope-twist design to the edge and bordered with a deep embossed borderline, provision at rear for plume holder (missing), painted black internally to preserve and missing lining
