AN 11.53mm BREECH-LOADING SERVICE-RIFLE, MODEL 'ALBINI BRAENDLIN', serial no. 3553, COMPLETE WITH BAYONET,
circa 1868, with 34 3/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight with auxiliary volley-sight, front hinged trap-door action with rear-mounted central hammer, plain walnut full-stock with iron furniture (frosted), two barrel-bands, iron nose-cap with throat for iron clearing rod (present) and bayonet lug to underside of muzzle, strong traces of finish; COMPLETE WITH its triangular cross-section socket bayonet, no scabbard
