circa 1880, with full length 33in. barrel with broad applied matted top-rib, adjustable fore-sight, seven folding leaf rear-sight (one leaf absent), the top-flat behind rear-sight signed in gold 'GEORGE ARMSTRONG, CRADOCK, No. 836', scroll engraved Martini-style action with long external cocking-lever mounted on the right hand side, chequered walnut butt-stock (old cracks at wrist) with iron patch-box to the right hand side and iron heel-plate, short under-lever, walnut chequered splinter fore-end and under-barrel rib with original mahogany ramrod (finish badly worn with shallow pitting and loss to detail)
