28 7/9in. black powder only twist barrels, broad rib engraved 'PATENTED OCTr 1865 W & C. SCOTT & SON. LONDON. LAMINATED STEEL', 2 7/8in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, action with ornately carved fences, incorporating Scott patent toplever, patent no. 2752 of 25th October 1965, use number 385 and in conjunction with Purdey patent double bite, patent no. 1104 of 2nd May 1863, use number 270, rebounding sidelocks, border engraving with small vignettes of wildfowl in flight, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/4in. well-figured stock including chequered horn buttplate, weight 9lb. 12oz.
