* A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER SIGNED 'DOOLEY', MODEL 'WEBLEY'S WEDGE-FRAME', serial no. 2746,
circa 1858, with blued 6in. barrel (traces of finish), engraved muzzle, scroll engraving to breech, the top-strap signed 'WILLIAM DOOLEY, LIVERPOOL' (refreshed, possibly spurious), brushed bright borderline and scroll engraved frame, plain cylinder with tramline to leading edge and numbered chambers, spurred hammer, guarded trigger and chequered walnut grip with scroll engraved heel-plate, the underside of barrel fitted with an articulated loading lever, together with its original walnut storage case compartmented and lined in dark green baize, the inside of lid with 'Dooley' trade label (possibly added), and complete with a period mould, flask, cap-tin, lubricating compound, oil bottle and cleaning rod, with a later nipple key
