AN UNUSUAL 10mm PINFIRE SINGLE-SHOT POCKET-PISTOL SIGNED 'P. BERGAT', no visible serial number,
probably Belgian circa 1870, with browned damascus 3 1/2in. rifled tip-down barrel, in the white floral engraved boxlock action with off-set central hammer, 'Lefaucheux' swing underlever and concealed folding trigger, walnut fluted grip carved with running vines and shell decoration at head, semi-spire pommel cap, the whole retaining strong amounts of original finish
