A 100-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S PATENT', serial no. R11848 & 27512R,
the second number being the patent use number, circa 1858, with blued octagonal 4 1/4in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'GEO.E. GIBBS GUN MAKER BRISTOL', wingnut cylinder arbor release, plain cylinder, borderline engraved frame with sliding cylinder lock, spurred hammer, double action trigger chequered walnut grip and articulated rammer mounted to left side of frame and barrel, the whole retaining much of its factory blued finish
