circa 1860, with Birmingham proved two-stage 5 1/8in. barrel, cantilever system for drawing forwards the barrel and cylinder simultaneously ejecting spent shells stored alongside barrel, ratchet indexing plain cylinder. open iron frame, chequered walnut bag-shaped grips, lanyard ring at heel, double action mechanism and full ring extractor, refinished in antiquity
