A .380 DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER SIGNED 'W.H.', MODEL 'WARNANT'S PRYSE-ACTION', serial no. D21K,
circa 1885, with nickel-plated octagonal 4 3/4in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, raised sighting groove to the rear of top-strap, break open frame with auto-ejecting fluted six-shot cylinder, twin 'Pryse' locking bars, the left hand bar partially obscuring the 'W.H' monogram winged trademark of 'L. & J. Warnant Freres, Hognee', spurred hammer, smooth ivory grips, shallow spur to back-strap, lanyard swivel and guarded trigger, the whole retaining virtually all its original nickel-plated finish and appearing little used, in a full-flap open-ended leather holster
Provenance: A memory stick with information regarding the revolver and other items from the family accompanies the lot.
