28in. nitro chopperlump barrels with 6mm solid matt top-ribs engraved '1' and '2' at the breech ends, the top tubes engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. in all, hold-open toplevers inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, cocking-indicators, engraved with bouquet and acanthus scrollwork, No.1 lockplates engraved with scenes of flushed fowl and partridge, No.2 with scenes of pheasant and partridge flushed from their naturalistic habitat, signed 'D. O'Brien', the undersides with engraved vignettes of hounds surrounded by acanthus scrollwork and engraved with the makers name and details, brushed finish, 14 3/8in. figured stocks including 7/8in. leather-covered recoil pads, weight 7lb. 11oz (No.1) 7lb. 8oz.
