Provenance: Popular family tradition supplied by the vendor is it that:
"It was given to me some 20 years ago and was sourced through a family friend in Chile. The story goes that it had come from the estate of Peron, the Argentine President. The size and "prettiness" of the gun has lent some credence to the suggestion that it was a gift from Peron to his third wife.
Beretta themselves have not been able to provide much detail on the gun, it was manufactured in 1953 and sold to a gunshop in Milan on 30 Nov 1953."
