for 1944, with dark grey phosphated finish, 5in. barrel, maker's details to the left side of slide and 'UNITED STATES PROPERTY' to the right side of frame, exposed spurred hammer, grip safe, arched mainspring housing, chequered brown plastic grips and lanyard loop at heel, together with two further spare magazines in a later leather belt-holder
Provenance: Interestingly, this pistol is numbered in the serial range allocated to Ithaca, possibly indicating an error in records or a period frame-swap
