WILMART & FILS Fts. FAIT PUR V. ROUSSEL ARQr. A MONTPELLIER.' and tubes engraved 'SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, fences carved with foliate motifs, removable striker discs, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, articulated front trigger, border engraving, the lockplates engraved with scenes of hound flushing fowl in a wetland setting on the left, the right with hound flushing pheasant in a woodland setting, the underside with a stag in its naturalistic habitat, signed 'Agob', some oil staining, 14in. stock including buttplate, with sling swivels, applied comb, repair to toe, weight 7lb. 8oz.
