A PAIR OF MILITARY/POLICE HANGERS, mid-19th Century, being 1) with 24 in. x 1 1/2 in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, brass hilt, quillion stamped 'SX / P / 16', wire-bound fish-skin grip, black leather scabbard with brass furniture, repaired knuckle-bow, leather scabbard worn with minor losses; 2) with 22 in. x 1 1/4 in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, ricasso stamped with Broad Arrow, steel hilt, black leather scabbard with steel furniture, locket stamped with Broad Arrow, worn, grip of bare wood, pommel heavily rusted (2)
