A PATTERN 1854 OFFICERS SWORD FOR THE GRENADIER GUARDS, early 20th Century, with 33 in. single-edged blade etched both sides with battle honours, kings' crown and royal cypher, ricasso marked 'CATER / & Co. / PALL MALL / LONDON', gothic hilt with Grenadier Guards cypher, wire-bound fishskin grip, together with its brown leather field scabbard, blade with some staining, small losses to guard and hilt nickelling, scabbard grazed and broken into two above the chape
