A 54-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK TRAVELLING PISTOL WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, SIGNED WM. BROWN, no visible serial number,
circa 1805, with round turn-off 2 1/2in. barrel starred at the muzzle for a key (absent), folding sprung bayonet of triangular cross-section released via the trigger guard bow, squared trophy engraved boxlock action signed in script on the left side 'WM. BROWN', central ring-necked cock, sliding safe to the top-tang also locking the frizzen and slab-sided walnut butt
