circa 1959, 25 3/4in. replacement nitro reproved barrel (London proof 2006 and 2025) engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', block-mounted unmarked open sights with folding leaf sight marked 400, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with folding protector, the receiver (with thumb cutout) mounted with a Schmidt & Bender 6x42 Klassik telescopic sight, serial no. 288428, in quickly-detachable mounts, the rings engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND' and 'No. 3025 CAL. 300H&H', the receiver ring with a strip of matted finish, recoil blocks, the bolt handle with chequered panels, hinged straddle floorplate with push button release and engraved 'MADE IN ENGLAND' and '4 CARTRIDGES', the triggerguard with the serial number, well-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, monte carlo comb, colour-hardened steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels, 13 1/2in. pull including 1in. recoil pad (pad damaged at heel), the fore-end inset with a diamond shaped plate engraved with the calibre designation, weight 8lb. 2oz. (unscoped) and 9lb. 9oz. (with scope), with a nylon slip
