A 54-BORE BOX-LOCK PERCUSSION PISTOL, SIGNED EGG?, no visible serial number, circa 1830 percussion conversion of a circa 1810 flintlock, with 1 3/4 in. barrel, Birmingham proof-marks, box-lock with a heavily rubbed name on the left side (possibly Egg) with rubbed 'London' over, slab-sided butt with blank oval white metal escutcheon, dolphin hammer, drop-down trigger, worn, barrel frozen, has a modern nickelling over pitted and heavily scrubbed metalwork, leaving the engraving weak and script indistinct, butt shrunken with a crack between the lock tang and the escutcheon; plus two Sykes Patent sporting powder flasks, both damaged with split seams and crushed spouts, one heavily dented and in semi-relic condition 3
