circa 1822, with round turn-off 1 1/2in. barrel, Birmingham proofs, squared trophy engraved action signed within an oval panel on the left 'I. BULLIED. LATE WILKINSON', the right 'BRISTOL' within a similar panel, central ring-necked cock, sliding safe to the top-tang, slab-sided walnut butt and guarded trigger
Provenance: John Bullied operated from No. 3 Thomas Street, Bristol from 1821-1825, becoming '& Son' until 1830. The Wilkinson referred to in his signature was his predecessor James Wilkinson of the same address who traded between 1784-1818
