A 12-BORE 1887 PATENT ROUND-ACTION TRIGGERPLATE-ACTION EJECTOR, serial no. 5111,
for 1899, 29in. nitro reproved fine damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. 63 PRINCES STREET. EDINBURGH.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, slight movement on action and some dents and pits, Dickson patent round-action incorporating patents 9399 and 10621 of 1887, use number 751, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in scrolling banner to the sides, 15in. stock with steel heel and toe plates, weight 6lb. 9oz.


Provenance: The makers records list the gun as having 29in. barrels, sold on 14th June 1899
