A CASED 120-BORE PERCUSSION 'SYSTEME DEANE ADAMS & DEANE' REVOLVER, no visible serial number,
being an officially licenced Belgian copy of the Deane Adams & Deane revolver circa 1860, with blued 4 3/4in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'SYST. DEANE ADAMS & DEANE LONDON', dove-tailed fore-sight, engraved detail to the barrel throat and top-strap, shallow notch rear-sight, borderline engraved frame, plain five-shot cylinder, double action mechanism with guarded trigger and spurred hammer, swept chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip, iron pommel-cap, strong traces of finish and together with a Deane Adams & Deane labelled mahogany case lined and compartmented in green baize, a small Dixon flask, Tranter bullet mould, cap and lubricating tins, powder measure and turn-screw, all period but probably added, the case on later brass bun feet
