circa 1895, 51 1/2in. overall length, the spindle operating a three point contact, full length outer sleeve graduated in inches from 3 to 48 and sleeve scale marked in 20 thousandths of an inch from .960 to 1.120, thimble scale marked in thousandths of an inch from 0-19, the body signed 'COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD - LONDON', knurled grip, in its full length wood case, the inside of lid also signed 'COGSWELL & HARRISON, LONDON'
