A FINE JAPANESE KATANA WITH SIGNED BLADE AND ADDITIONAL SHIRA-SAYA,
believed late 17th century, with 26 1/2in. blade in a good state of polish (one small inclusion near guard on left side), prominent hamon, moulded copper habaki, round iron tsuba with stylised radial 'petals' and inlaid in gold scrolls, square tipped tang with two mekugi-ana and signature, brown cotton-bound ray-skin grip, en-suite furniture and in a black lacquered wooden scabbard with further cotton bindings and a plain shira-saya storage scabbard
