circa 1840, with browned octagonal 10in. sighted barrel signed on the top-flat 'D. EGG, LONDON' (rubbed), engraved patent breech with screwed vent, border and scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock with dipped tail and signed 'D. EGG', engraved dolphin hammer, walnut full-stock with swept and chequered grip, engraved iron grip-cap with central trap, side-mounted belt-hook and captive iron ramrod (small hairline crack to wood above lock)
