for 1924, 23 3/4in. replacement nitro barrel (post 1963) engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 13, BRUTON STREET, LONDON.', the nocksform engraved 'HOLLAND'S .240 "APEX", rearsight removed from dovetail mount, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with folding, locking protector hood, the receiver (with thumb cutout) mounted with a Swarovski 6x42 Habicht telescopic sight, serial number P663641231, in later quickly-detachable mounts, recoil blocks, detachable floorplate with military style release, triggerguard with serial number, 14 1/2in. pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling eyes, horn buttplate (stock chipped at toe), weight 7lb. 3oz. (unscoped) and 8lb. 9oz. (with scope)
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was ordered in May 1924 by a Major Bullough of Perthshire
