Baker patent barrel-cocking hammerless action, patent no. 761 of 1878, use number 1778, W. & C. Scott patent toplever spindle, Scott patent gas check system, patent no. 617 of 1882, use number 1150, W.& C. Scott patent automatic block safety, Scott patent crystal cocking-indicators, patent no. 3223 of 1875 with gold-washed internals, Needham & Hinton patent intercepting sears, patent no. 706 of 1879, fine acanthus scroll and floral bouquet engraving, the lockplates signed 'J. BLANCH & SON', blacked finish overall, 14in. figured stock, the left side stamped 'MURRAY', fore-end with J. Blanch & Son 'Improved snap bolt' release catch, weight 6lb. 8oz.
