A .32 (RIMFIRE) SINGLE-SHOT DERRINGER PISTOL, UNSIGNED, serial no. 2624,
almost certainly a Merwin & Bray model by Bacon Mfg. Co., Norwich Conn. U.S.A. circa 1865, with octagonal 3 1/2in. barrel swinging sideways to load, nickel blade fore-sight, moulded brass frame with central hammer and spur trigger and smooth walnut grips (possibly working replacements)
Provenance: Other American manufacturer's produced similar derringer pistols around the same time including Morgan & Clapp and H.C. Lombard.
