for 1869, 30in. nitro reproved damascus barrel (in 1967), short sight flat, engraved 'S. GRANT. LONDON.' and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. true cyl., carved percussion fence, Jones patent rotary-underlever, back-action lock with non-rebounding hammer, acanthus scroll engraving, patinated and reblued finish, 13 5/8in. figured stock including steel buttplate, fore-end with cross-pin release catch and horn finial, weight 5lb. 13oz.
