manufactured between 1855-62 with round 33in. barrel, top engraved 'C LANCASTER'S PATENT' and '151 NEW BOND ST LONDON', block and blade fore-sight, distinctive 'reversed' elevating ladder rear-sight, London commercial proof stamps, border engraved hammer and bar-action lock signed 'C LANCASTER PATENT', walnut full-stock with iron furniture, the underside of fore-end neatly amateur marked 'B.B. LAWES', two barrel-bands, sling swivels and jag-tipped iron ramrod, light surface corrosion throughout
