for 1907, No.1 with 30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1982), wave cut rib gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, address inscription rubbed, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, with later additional 30in. nitro barrels (shared fore-end), wave cut rib gold-inlaid with a star at the breech end, tubes engraved 'E. J. CHURCHILL. GUN & RIFLE MANUFACTURER. 8 AGAR ST. STRAND. LONDON W.C.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, some external stains/pits, No.2 with 29 3/4in. sleeved nitro barrels (by J. Rigby & Co. London in 1987), wave cut rib gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, the tubes re-engraved 'E. J. CHURCHILL (GUNMAKERS) ORANGE ST. GUNWORKS. LEICESTER SQUARE. LONDON.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and extra full choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, profusely engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork with ornate bordering, the sides of the actions with 'E.J. CHURCHILL' in scrolling banners, the undersides with the 'EJC' roundel, 15 1/4in. figured stocks including 1in. recoil pads, weight No.1 6lb. 11oz. (original) and 6lb. 14oz. (additional), No.2 weight 6lb. 14oz., in their brass-cornered oak and leather case, the additional barrels in a leather barrel case
