circa 1830, with 32 1/2in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso stamped 'RP' to one side and 'W & Co.' (Weyersberg & Co. of Solingen), steel hilt, cross-guard with langets, stirrup guard, wire-bound leather grip, steel scabbard with single suspension ring, blade scrubbed bright, hilt scrubbed with blinded pitting, scabbard painted black
