A PATTERN 1912 CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD, circa 1915, with 35 in. narrow single-edged blade fullered on each side etched both sides with scrolling foliage, ‘GRV' cypher to one side and royal coat-of-arms over, ricasso etched 'FIRMIN & SONS / Ltd. / 8, CORK STREET / LONDON W.I.', bowl guard engraved with honeysuckle pattern, wire bound fish-skin grip, stepped pommel, with field service brown leather scabbard, worn, blade with some staining and patches of blinded pitting, fish-skin flaking and binding loose
