A GOOD BRITISH 1803 FLANK OFFICER'S SABRE, UNSIGNED,
circa 1810, with strongly curving 29in. blade in a good state of polish (slight edge nicks) and decorated with gilt foliage, armorials and a Georgian crown device to the right side and similar to the left, the crown replaced with a Royal crest, traces of previous blue ground, pierced narrow gilded 'D' shaped hilt, the front lower portion of guard carved with a 'G.R.' crown device, wire-bound sharkskin hilt, carved and gilded lionshead pommel and back-strap, strong amount of gilt and finish remaining, in its scarce iron scabbard
