for 1909, 28in. nitro reproved barrel, folding open / aperture ladder rear sight, block and blade fore-sight with tunnel protector, the breech end with sprung magazine pusher, sliding button safety to rear of bolt, hook magazine cut-off switch, receiver engraved on the left 'ROSS RIFLE CO. QUEBEC. CANADA. 1905. PATENTED.', retaining traces of original blue and colour-hardened finish, full stock, canvas sling, the right side of the butt marked '38/173. 11/12. 3* II. 469/1909. AX.', 13 7/8in. pull including steel buttplate with trapdoor, weight 8lb. 3oz., together with a Ross 1907 MKII bayonet, the heel marked 'ROSS RIFLE CO. QUEBEC. PATENTED 1907. and '08 2-10.', with leather scabbard
