dated for 1824 with later conversion from flintlock, ovoid 3in. barrel with sunken sighting groove marked 'DUBLIN', bead fore-sight, the sighting groove extending onto the engraved top-tang, diminutive border engraved bevel-edged lock signed 'RIGBY' below the drum and nipple conversion, bolted safe behind the engraved hammer, walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped grip, the back-strap hinging up to reveal three compartments for balls, the outer face engraved 'G. BURNISTON 1824', white metal grip cap with short tail, guarded trigger and captive iron ramrod
