ROTARY-UNDERLEVER SINGLE-BARRELLED HAMMERGUN, no visible serial number, circa 1875, 31 1/4in. black powder only damascus barrel, with faceted breech-end, the top flat engraved 'G.E. LEWIS. 32 & 33 LOWER LOVEDAY STREET. BIRMINGHAM', 2 5/8in. chamber, bored approx. true cyl., carved serpentine fences, Jones rotary underlever, back-action locks with rebounding hammer, border engraving, patinated finish, 14 3/8in. stock including steel buttplate, fore-end with cross-pin release catch and horn finial, weight 6lb. 1oz.
