A COMPOSED PAIR OF 69 BORE NEW LAND PATTERN FLINTLOCK PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers, early 19th Century, each with 9 in. proof-marked barrels, captive rammers, locks engraved 'TOWER', plus lock-keeper's mark and crown above 'G R', walnut stocks, brass butt-plate and trigger-guard, both worn, one pistol with steel-work heavily pitted, hammer a probable replacement and missing top jaw, sliding safety removed, stock split where rammer enters the forend; the other worn with some blinded pitting and staining to the barrel, hammer absent, stock split where rammer enters the forend 2
