the revolver a licenced Belgian copy circa 1860, with reblued 6in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed in script 'MANUFACTURED BY P.B. LICENSED BY DEANE ADAMS DEANE', reblued five-shot cylinder (some pitting below finish), borderline engraved frame with 'ADAMS PATENT' (light pitting), double action mechanism with spurred hammer, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip, domed grip-cap and Kerr-style rammer, in a later walnut casing relined in green baize and including a number of period accessories including a Colt-style mould, Bartram flask, cleaning rod, turn-screw, brass oiler and bone nipple-pot
