circa 1770's, with 8in. brass slightly swamped round to octagonal two-stage barrel, London proof stamps, top flat at the breech signed 'LONDON', engraved iron top-tang, flat border engraved lock-plate with pointed stepped tail signed 'TWIGG', below the pan, swan necked cock and roller frizzen, walnut full-stock with bag-shaped grip, brass furniture, horn tipped wooden ramrod with iron worm, and later adjustable powder measure, copper powder flask with foliate and hanging game design in high relief signed 'G & J.W. HAWKSLEY SHEFFIELD' and leather shot flask, in later walnut case lined in green baize (with key)
