circa 1885, with 7 1/2in. sighted barrel, top signed 'E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. NY.USA', side-mounted ejector rod, plated cylinder and frame, calibre marked '44' on rear of trigger-guard, walnut grips, the whole being an early re-nickel (hammer with welded repair)
