wartime produced, with 15in single edged spear-point blade, etched with foliage and panels of stags, signed on the ricasso 'ALCOSO SOLINGEN' together with a trademark of scales surrounded by the letters 'A,C,S', small shell guard with laurel and oak leaves in relief surrounding an applied circular enamelled badge bearing the legend 'DEUTSCHER SCHUTZEN VERBAND around an eagle with a target shaped body, the words interspersed with swastikas, 'S' shaped cross-guard with acorn finials, tobak mounts and ivorine hilt with applied crossed rifles, The whole covered in an old varnish, no scabbard (some staining to blade)
