A CASED PAIR OF .650 (REGULATION) FLINTLOCK OFFICERS PISTOLS IN THE DUELLING STYLE, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1800, with slightly swamped 8 3/4in. octagonal barrels signed 'LONDON' at the breech, raised fore-sight, hooked breech with engraved bands, notch rear-sight, top-tang engraved with foliage and starbursts, flat, slightly curved bevel-edged lockplates (traces of colour) with stepped tails signed 'H. NOCK' forwards of the hammer, sliding safes behind the hammers, semi rain-proof pans, roller frizzens, walnut full-stocks, oval silver escutcheons to the wrists, bag-shaped butts with flat side-panels, florally engraved trigger-guard bows, set triggers, pineapple finials and horn tipped mahogany ramrods (one with worm terminal), TOGETHER WITH their probably original oak travelling case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a number of period accessories including loading rod, ball mould and powder-flask, the lid with flush fitting 'D' shaped handle (minor chips to wood and losses to baize)
